別願

(別願, 别愿)

Special vows, as the forty-eight of Amitābha, or the twelve of [lang id =1028]藥師佛 Yao Shih Fo (Bhaiṣajya), as contrasted with general vows taken by all Bodhisattvas.

各別的誓願。 如四弘誓願是諸佛菩薩的通願， 叫做總願， 如阿彌陀佛的四十八願和藥師佛的十二願， 即是別願。
